The development at East Leaze is set within the vast countryside of the Raby Estate. The name East Leaze was found following research into the history of the area from the archives at Raby Castle.

The earliest surviving map of this area dates from 1732 and names the area where the development will be placed as East Leaze. The name is a respectful nod to the past and rich heritage in this area, whilst also looking forward to an exciting new chapter in local history.
